special announcement
What a year it has been!
The situation has been complicated, and no one really expected these new mutations to take such a toll. As of today travel is still restricted, especially in terms of quarantine regulations. There are also many of you who are still not vaccinated, and France is in a new lockdown.

We don’t have the ability to foresee what will come in the next few months, but the way things have been progressing lately we do not see any way that we could arrange the wedding that we have envisioned. We do not have the possibility to guarantee that our family and friends can safely gather, without giving up all your vacation time in quarantine. Therefore we unfortunately have no other choice but to postpone the wedding once again.

Many have faced economic hardships this year, including the chateau de Beduer. As of now we do not have a set venue for next year.

OUR STORY
November 11th, 2011. On a cold winter night in Budapest. Two strangers meet at an outdoor ski and music festival, but what else would you expect from a Canadian and a Norwegian?
It was our love of music that initially brought us together, but it was our common passion for food and travel that has kept us going.
As we travel the world, the questions we always ask are: where can we find the best street food? Where is the perfect beach? How can we find the time to visit as many places possible in so little time? Well…100+ hours of watching food and travel shows has to be worth something.
We are fortunate to have amazing families that have supported us and lucky to have made some kick ass friends along the way. What a better way to celebrate us finally getting married than to combine all our passions and invite all our nearest and dearest away with us to a celebration in the south of France.

More details to come
getting there
Transportation
-
Flight to Paris, Toulouse or Bordeaux
-
Train from Paris or Toulouse to Gare de figeac ( train station in Figeac)
-
Car rental is probably the most convenient way to get there and around
-
Driving times:
-
Paris to Figeac- approximately 6 hours

Tolouse to Figeac - approx. 2 hours
-
Bordeaux to Figeac - approx. 3 hours
-
-
We do not recommend AVIS in France from personal experiences.
-
Everyone who plans on renting a car must have a valid drivers license that is valid for at least one year as France has strict regulations on this. This rule also applies for the additional driver.

-
Cafe & Hôtel Champollion

The hotels that we listed are only ones located in the town of Figeac. There are lots of opportunities to rent AirBnBs or houses in the area of Béduer and around Figeac. So if you don’t mind a little drive then that would be a great option too.
-
We will arrange transportation to and from the château on the day of the wedding. We will do our best to have a shuttle in place until late in the evening/early morning. It will mainly be departing from Figeac.

REGISTRY
